Peter's year has passed quickly and he took the opportunity to give each Member a copy of his report for the year in which many fundraising events were run raising over £33k for local charities and good causes, an excellent programme of speakers - Peter's favorite being on Red Squirrels. There were also many social events ranging from a casino night to a visit to the Rotary Club of Huelva in Spain.
To round of his year he awarded two Members Paul Harris Fellowship on behalf of the Club for extraordinary Service to Rotary, David Chisholm and Gordon Robb were the recipients.
Peter then went on to pass on the chain of office to new President Alistair McPherson who thanked Peter for his Service and presented Peter with his Past Presidents pin and then went on to pass chains of office to Stuart Brown - President Elect (Away on a well deserved holiday) George Matthews - President Nominee, Chris Hill Secretary and finally Russell Wheater - Treasurer. The Club welcomed the new officers and thanked those serving a second term.
President Alistair then moved to close the meeting and gave a short presentation on 'This week in Science, Technology and Engineering' which will be his theme for closing meeting for the next year. His talk gave those present a super insight into the new Ruben Observatory in Chile.
