Shoebox Appeal November 2011

Fri, Nov 18th 2011 at 12:00 am- Wed, Nov 30th 2011 - 12:00 am

With the enthusiastic support of several local groups and schools, this year's Shoebox Appeal resulted in over 200 filled boxes being delivered to the central depot at Perth. These would join the 10,000 boxes, filled by Clubs in the District from where they were being despatched to Eastern Europe in time for Christmas.

Stuart Brown, Chair of the Foundation and International Committee, reported that the25th Stirling (Dunblane) Boys Brigade Junior Section, Dunblane Primary Nursery, Beaconhurst and Bridge of Allan Primary Schools as well as Club members had put in a magnificent effort to fill the boxes. Many had been colourfully decorated and wrapped by the youngsters and the Club's thanks were passed on to all who participated.
