Aayla Takes Top Honours in Rotary Young Chef Competition
Three talented young chefs showcased their culinary skills at the Rotary Young Chef Competition organised by the Rotary Club of Bridge of Allan and Dunblane and hosted at Dunblane High School.
The competition challenged participants to demonstrate their culinary talent, creativity, food preparation skills and presentation techniques in a demanding practical cookery contest. The standard of competition was exceptionally high, making the judges' task a difficult one.
After careful deliberation, Aayla was awarded First Place, with Olivia named Runner-Up and Ruadh receiving a Highly Commended award.
The competitors were judged by Rufaro and John, both of Forth Valley College, who praised the enthusiasm, professionalism and culinary skills displayed throughout the competition.
As winner of the local heat, Aayla will now go on to represent the Rotary Club of Bridge of Allan and Dunblane at the Rotary District Final, where competitors from across the district will compete for the overall title.
A spokesperson for the Rotary Club of Bridge of Allan and Dunblane said:
"We were delighted by the quality of the competition and the commitment shown by all three competitors. The standard of cooking, presentation and organisation was outstanding, and everyone involved should be proud of their achievements. We wish Aayla every success as she progresses to the District Final."
The Rotary Young Chef Competition is part of Rotary's commitment to supporting young people and encouraging the development of practical life skills, confidence and personal achievement. The event also highlights the excellent work being carried out by students and staff at Forth Valley College.
The Rotary Club would like to thank Forth Valley College, judges Rufaro and John, and all those who helped organise and support the competition.
