Big Space Rotary launch; 10th October 2024

The Rotary launch of the "Big Space" fundraising appeal for Cheltenham hospital took place at Swinhay on Thursday 10th October, with approximately 75 guests.

On behalf of Drewe Lacey (Rotary District 1100 Governor) Hillian Hayward, President of Cotswold Tyndale (lead club for the Rotary 'Big Space Cancer Appeal,) would like to thank the many people who attended the fundraising launch last week at Swinhay, (and a big thank you to David &  Terry McMurtry too!!) There were so many local organisations and businesses represented and it is really appreciated how many donations have been received already, given on the night or pledged over the coming months, for this fantastic local cause which will not only benefit our local communities but people across Gloucestershire and the area the Cheltenham & Gloucester Oncology unit serves. It was fantastic to hear from senior Oncologist, Dr Sam Guglani, and the CEO of the Hospital Trust and former Rotary scholar, Kevin McNamara.

Watch the videa to find out more and if it inspires you, your organisation or company to help this great cause in any way whatsoever then reach out to the Rotary Club or email info@rotarybigspacecancer.org as together we can make a real difference.
