Members of the club and their partners helped father christmas in his tinsel grotto at the Dursley Christmas lights "switch on" and fireworks evening on 24th November 2023.
A big 'Thank you' to Santa for coming and everyone who visited Santa and sampled some Water or Wine.
The evening of fun raised £310.28 towards the Club's Charity fiund.
more Rotarians and friends filled forty eight two-hour slots at Michaelwood Services, collecting £3147.00 for the Royal British Legion. The President laid a wreath at Wotton-under-Edge on Sunday 10th November.
more A cheque for £3250 was presented to Longfield Hospice by Past President Richard Moran at the club meeting on 2nd September, where two representatives of the Hospice also gave an enlightening talk on their activities.
more A cheque for £400 was made to James, the Chair of the 'Open Door club.' Immediate Past President Richard and current President Gillian made the presentation, accompanied by Tina and Secretary John.
more A cheque for £1000 was presented to Sophie Wolfe Murray from the Willow Trust by Immediate Past President President Richard Moran.
more A club first! Using equipment loaned from Thornbury Rotary we ran a Duck Race as part of our local community contribution to the Dursley Festival. A surplus of £32 was made for the Club Charitable Trust fund. Great fun was had by all.
more President Richard presented a cheque for £2500 to Mike Kelly, Guide Dogs for the Blind. Guide dog 'Danny' was also present.
more Following a donation of Heart Shaped Cushions to Cheltenham Hospital in 2022 a request was received for some more. Another 150 now delivered.
