What would you do if you found someone unconscious and unresponsive?
This could be a life-critical situation, in which quick action may well save someone’s life. Rapid assessment of the situation, rapid beginning of CPR, rapid use of a defibrillator, and rapid response by the emergency services can all contribute to a successful outcome.
Heartwize, a training organisation set up by cardiologists from Leicester Hospitals, has teamed up with Rotary clubs in the area to deliver training on CPR and the use of defibrillators. We’ll be pleased to visit your club or organisation (on-line during the pandemic) to give your group, families and friends confidence in knowing how to react if someone collapses. We will talk about the initial assessment of the patient, use of chest compressions CPR) should they be called for, and demystify the use of defibrillators.
