One of the charities we support is N W Air Ambulance. They recently talked to the club and we made a donation of £500. On Saturday 7th September Lamplighter Amy abseiled down Liverpool Cathedral and raised a further £700 .

We have just made another donation to one of the India Eye camps which offer cataract surgery and similar procedures to people unable to attend a conventional hospital or clinic.

The ukulele band was in Hebden Bridge, to help the Hebden Bridge Rotary Club belatedly celebrate Christmas. The severe flooding at the end of last year ruined all their plans, and they decided to celebrate Christmas this June instead.

2012 Khensani Primary School

New Year Walk 2013
We had a great day for the walk. Dry and not cold. 24 of us walked from Lyme Breeze to Bollington, where we spent an hour at the Vale Inn. Then a walk back to Lyme Breeze was followed by a lovely meal.

The Club was at the Heatons Festival. As well as some stewarding and marshalling, our fire prevention advisers were out in force, spreading the word about smoke alarms.

This will be a lunchtime event, at Chancellors, Moseley Road, Manchester. Drinks in the gardens from 12:30pm, then lunch at 2:00pm. President Clyde will speak after lunch, then it's back out to the gardens for more drinks and socialising.
