Kilimanjaro a talk by Derek Lowe
Derek talked about his sponsored climb of Kilimanjaro which he undertook to raise funds for the Port Reitz school.
Some of this funding was from the Rotary Club with a garden party arranged by David and Ros Scott
Towards the end of the ascent the mountain experienced some freak cold weather with arctic blizzard conditios so the climb had to be aborted only a few hundred feet from the actual summit.
