Tanya King is the Social Inclusion Manager for Stockport Homes which is a Not-for-Profit Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO) of SMBC. She gave a talk on the work of their team of 550 permanent staff and many volunteers. This covers 11,500 properties across a diverse range of areas of Stockport and included areas such as Housing, Health, Education, Employment, Money Advice and Community Development - and even Community digital projects. She also had some ideas on how Rotary could provide help to support their work including support for the 4 'Pantries' - exclusive food clubs where, for a small weekly membership fee, members had access to reduced prices and other benefits.
