Tonight we welcome Jo Barratt, from The Teenage Market.
Jo Barratt talked to us about how he and his brother Tom created The Teenage Market in Stockport. This was intended to help revitalise the market area, as well as providing a platform for young people in the area to use a market stall to make some money. It also introduced performing arts to the market area, as singers and dancers were able to perform in front of an audience. The Teenage Market concept has now been offered as a brand to other towns, and the hope is that up to 15 towns will have taken this up by next month.
