Takeley and Little Canfield Open Gardens

Open Gardens event- June 21st 2026
We are keen to hear from anyone who is willing to open their garden from 12-5 pm.


This year's Takeley and Little Canfield Open Gardens is on June 21st from 12-5 pm.

We welcome new gardens to view. All you need to do is volunteer and be around to welcome visitors at that time. We will come and check your garden and talk over with you how the event works and provide more details. Volunteers enjoy the afternoon and many return year after year, but we need some new gardens to add variety.

We charge £5 a ticket which goes to charity and ensures a ticket-only entry scheme.

We are supporting the charity Porridge and Pens , (an Essex Charity led by Jemma Williams). We are working towards a Global Grant to enable the school to have reliable solar energy and a computer suite which will benefit the whole community.
