Nominations are now open for Sidmouth Citizen of the Year 2024. This is a chance to give recognition to someone who has made a significant contribution to the local community during 2024
Nominations should be made by no later than 1 February 2025 to email address svcoty2024@gmail.com . Please include your name and telephone number.
Your nomination wth the name of the person you are nominating and the reason why you are nominating them should be sent to the Sidmouth Rotary Club coordinator, Robin Butler, at svcoty20024@gmail.com.
Your nominee could be someone who works for a charity or community group, or an individual who acts on their own behalf.
This annual award was established in 1985 and is a chance to give recognition to one of the unsung heroes from within the Sid valley. The award is open to anyone who has made a significant contribution to the local community during 2024.

At an award ceremony at the Victoria Hotel on 13 March'24, Angela Carney was declared Citizen of the Year 2023. Angela was presented with a certificate by Sidmouth Rotary President, Vic Clarke and Cllr Chris Lockyear, Chair of Sidmouth Town Council.

The 17th Sidmouth Rotary Swimathon took place on Saturday 28 October 2023. Ninety-five swimmers in fifteen teams took to the water to see who could swim the most lengths in a 50 minute period.
