Having Fun
Fun and good fellowship
Rotarians give their time freely in the pursuit of the ideals of service and so it is essential that we enjoy what we do. Taking part in service and fund raising projects provides a great deal of fellowship and often considerable fun but the Burnham Rotary Club also arranges activities and functions which are purely for the enjoyment of the members and friends. Examples are:
- An annual President's weekend away. These are usually at cities of interest within the UK but have also included Dublin, Honfleur and even Barcelona.
- Outside visits to interesting companies and organisations eg. Jaguar Cars, Morgan Cars, Butcombe Brewery.
- Various sporting activites eg. Golf, Archery, Bowls, Croquet.
