Date: Sunday 23rd February 2025 – Rotary’s 120th birthday
As we celebrate 120 years of Rotary service on 23rdFebruary, which is also celebrated as World Understanding and Peace Day, it is a perfect time to reflect on the remarkable achievements of our members and celebrate Rotary’s tireless commitment to peace and doing good in our local communities and all around the world.
Since being founded by Paul Harris in Chicago in 1905, members like you have left an enormous mark on the world. We’ve almost eradicated polio, we’ve trained peacebuilders, supported education for millions. Every single day our network of 1.4 million changemakers across the globe are transforming lives, bringing people together and making a difference in our communities.

Over 260 riders took part on June 9th. A full report with details of the charity funds raised will follow in due course. Thank you to all who took part or volunteered to make the day such a success, despite the weather!

On a dry Friday and a very wet Saturday, we helped out at The Royal Lancashire Show and Last Night of the Proms on Clitheroe Castle. LNOP pictures courtesy of Eleanor Chew.

We helped out at the Food Festival, supported our Immediate Past President and now Clitheroe Town Mayor Jenni at Last Night of the Proms and managed to fit in a little fun while gliding, with the help of Hon Sec Tony Perry!
