Clitheroe Rotary will once again be taking part in Wrap Up East Lancashire during October.
Please drop off your unwanted ladies, men's and children's warm winter coats at our collection boxes, which you will find in Booths, Tesco and Sainsburys supermarkets in Clitheroe between October 3rd. and 25th. All we ask is that any coats you donate, have working zips and are in a condition that you would be happy to receive. Last year you donated, and we distributed, over 2,000 coats across East Lancashire to those in need via 15 charities. In addition Rotary will be holding its twice yearly collection of tools, sewing machines, old spectacles, mobile phones, unwanted foreign currency and coats on Clitheroe Market on Saturday October 10th. All the tools and sewing machines donated will be sent to help people set up businesses as tailors, mechanics or carpenters in Africa, phones and specs will go to International Aid Trust and currency will be converted into sterling and donated to Mary's Meals, to help feed children who attend school in Africa.
Rotary would also like to thank those who donated to our recent street collection for Nepal disaster relief. You donated in excess of £1,200 which will be donated to Shelter Box who are already working in Nepal providing much needed shelter and survival equipment.
As we approach winter Rotary looks forward to your future support at the Castle Bonfire, and Santa will be making his usual visit to Clitheroe and surrounding villages in the run up to Christmas. As always, thank you for your generous support, every penny our volunteers collect is donated to charity.

We helped out at the Food Festival, supported our Immediate Past President and now Clitheroe Town Mayor Jenni at Last Night of the Proms and managed to fit in a little fun while gliding, with the help of Hon Sec Tony Perry!

Forty four Rotarians and friends, took a four day trip visiting the National Arboretum, Bletchley Park, home of the code breakers, the Workhouse and Minster at Southall, and Kenilworth Castle.

Around 200 cyclists turned out on June 7th to take part from as far away as Shropshire and Yorkshire with an age range of 12 to 87!

President Ian takes over from President Phil for the Rotary year 2026 - 27. Ian will be supported by President Elect, John Spencer, Secretary Ian Petty and Treasurer Karin Wilson. All the Members look forward to another successful year ahead.

25,000 attended on a fabulous sunny day. Rotarians staffed the Human Fruit Machine publicising Rotary, having fun and raising a few bob for charity.
