Holyhead Rotary Club members supported The 2018 LoveSwimRun Holy Island event on Saturday 29th September, by marshalling 4 contact points on the course from near South Stack to Rhoscolyn

Holyhead Rotarians were extremely well received by The Rotary Club of Dun Laoghaire on our visit and enjoyed fellowship with a visit to Glendalough and attending their meeting at The National Yacht Club in Dun Laoghaire.

Margaret Hollings and Ella Baxandale from St Davids Hospice spoke to our Club meeting on 7th January 2019 about the establishment of a Hospice at Penrhos Stanley Hospital and how the club could assist .

The event was held at The Anchorage. The Guest Speaker was Dr. Gareth Huws who delivered an interesting talk about the loss of RMS Leinster. A presentation was also made to The Samaritans (March 2018).

The club were very pleased to have the opportunity to visit the centre and are grateful to Mr Ieuan Wyn Jones for the excellent tour. All were extremely impressed with the building and its potential for improving the economy of Anglesey.
