Rotary Christmas Social
Wadebridge Rotary decamped to Padstow for its last meeting of 2023, for a Christmas Dinner at the Harbour Hotel Padstow organised by Victoria and Marion. A coach to get there (and back!) solved drink/drive quandaries for many people. The food was good and served so that everyone on a table received their meal at the same time. It’s what you always hope for, but don’t always get.
There were speeches, from President Ceri and Assistant District Governor Nigel – but very short ones. They know their audience. There was a raffle and auction which raised £465 (less charges). There was loud music and dancing.
Enormous thanks to Victoria and Marion, and to everyone who donated raffle prizes including a special mention to our local businesses which donated: J-Shoes, Plonk’d, The Vine, Delicia Deli and Welcome Stranger (Lanivet).
