Wadebridge Rotary was back out on Molesworth Street last Thursday (11th Nov), selling raffle tickets in support of The Cove Macmillan Support Centre at Treliske. Plus coffee & cake and whole cakes for sale inside the Granary. We raised approaching £900 on the day, and could well top this. Raffle tickets are still on sale at the The Granary, courtesy of proprietor (and Rotarian) John Young. He also flogged off the remaining pieces of cake that were still there when we packed up at noon.
At least 16 Rotarians made an appearance for greater or lesser lengths of time, and it was our first time out collecting money with the contactless payment device from GiveStar. (Most people still brandished crisp bank notes, though).
