Wadebridge Rotary Club recently had an interesting talk (by Zoom) by Ashley (Ash) Jones who is a Regional Fraud Protect Advisor.of the South West Regional Organised Crime Unit. By illustrations he told us about various scams and frauds, how to spot them and what action to take. Fraud is a very prevalent crime especially during the Covid lockdowns when more of us are using the computer or at home to receive scam phone calls. Billions of £s are involved. He kindly gave us a link to a very useful booklet and gave permission for it to be circulated publicly.. It is too long to put onto the website, but here is a link below for you to download and copy/print for your own use.
