International Service

Supporting overseas projects aimed at relieving famine, hardship through war or natural disasters, and projects which promote education and self-sufficiency.

Club members please log in for more information.

Our club is committed to helping those less fortunate than ourselves in countries around the world... whether through long-term projects in Africa and India   (End Polio campaign is just one example), or short-term initiatives which promote education, health and self-sufficiency.  The side panel articles will give you an idea of some of our projects.

UkraineRotary's KNIT A WOOLLY HAT  project to save newborns in Ukraine was a huge success, as you can see from the photo above.   We sent thousands of hats to the Ukraine, so a really great community effort.  We've also packed 'Friendship Boxes' full of activities and gifts for Ukrainian children.... photos above show the boxes, which are now on their journey to Ukraine.

GoFisch - Tanzania project to support the street children of Iringa.  This marvellous charity has established a drop-in centre, training for boys and girls in useful skills to help them earn a livelihood, and sponsored young adults in further education.   They have made a huge difference and we're delighted to support them.  You can read more about GoFisch here -FISCH_Food_Winter_2023_December.pdf  or visit their website for updated information - gofish.org

Please contact us  if you know of an international project deserving Rotary's help, whether it be direct  financial support from our club, or perhaps in partnership with another Rotary club overseas.
