Saturday 27th August saw hundreds of little yellow quackers go hurtling down Bodmin Rotary's pop up river in Priory Park in Bodmin for their Grand Duck Race. The generosity of local Bodmin people and the support of friends and family of Rotary members helped us raise £503 which we will use to help others.
Jayne, a lucky Bodmin lady, won the first prize of £100 .
Chief Duck Trainer Bruce, who has been on the Folly selling Duck Race tickets, was very proud of his flock's performance on the day!
If you would like to have fun while helping others in the community why not message us to find out more about Bodmin Rotary. We are always looking for new members so why not get in touch. Ladies very welcome as members too!

This rather large duck was at Morrisons yesterday selling tickets for Bodmin Rotary's Duck Race today (Saturday the 27th August) at 2pm in Priory Park. If you missed him you can get your tickets at the Rotary stall at the Market on the Folly this morning and at the event on the Memorial Lawn, Priory Park, Bodmin.

This be a special Duck Race using a 'pop-up' artificial water course. Depending on the number of ducks sold, a number of heat races will be held, until the winners finally take part in the Grand Final.
The money raised will enable us to help people in many ways in the local community, for example the Bodmin Community Larder. Also have recently made a donation to the International Rotary effort to build temporary homes for those made homeless by the attack on the Ukraine as families, which will help those facing a cold winter in tents or on the streets.
COME AND ENJOY THE FUN....
