The Reverend Frederick William Densham came to Warleggan to become rector of St Bartholomew Church in 1931, and remained in the parish until his death in 1953. Many will have heard about this eccentric vicar who preached to an empty church (which, it seems, he was and he did), and who filled the pews with effigies of parishioners (which, it seems, he didn
