The Rotary Club was again invited by the Princes Risborough Town Council to assist with managing ‘social distancing’ and marshaling at its second Farmers Market in the King George V park on Saturday 19th September. Eleven members of the Club took part. The event, between 9am and 2pm, was well attended and was blessed with really good weather. It was very enjoyable, the visitors were well organised and the Club was given the opportunity to fundraise during the day. The “guess the number of corks in the bottle” competition, which was raising money for the Club’s Charity Fund, was very well supported by the visitors and, together with donations in the collecting buckets, raised exactly £600. The prize of a hamper of goods provided by Club members and the stall holders was won by Christopher from Monks Risborough who was nearest to the actual number 800 with his guess of 780.
