Judith Diment's visiting the Rotary Club of Thame

Judith Diment, Governor of the Rotary Thames Valley District (1090) gave a talk to club members, partners, prospective members. At the meeting Robert Bartlett and Cathy Thomas were welcomed as members of the Rotary Club of Thame.


Judith Diment runs an independent award-winning Thames Valley public relations consultancy established in 2001.  She has held senior positions in marketing and communications for over 25 years. She started a successful Thames Valley public relations and event management company in 1988 which was sold to HBL Media Ltd, a top 100 agency, in 2000. In 2001 she successfully established HBL Media's Cambridge office. Since 2001  Judith has run JD PR working with a range of clients. Client experience ranges from FTSE 100 companies to start-ups across print, broadcast and online media.  Judith has wide-ranging experience of event management at all levels including international conferences, business to business conferences and exhibitions, workshops, seminars and business excellence awards.  Judith project managed Slough Focus on Business (the largest annual business event in the Thames Valley) from 1995-2000; managed the Wycombe Business Excellence Awards for three years, and provided PR support for the Cambridge Business Awards 2002, and was a member of the judging panel for The Thames Valley Business Awards 2002-2007. 

Educated at the Universities of Wales and London,  Judith is a scientist by training and worked for 15 years at the Natural History Museum in London where she was Head of Public Relations. During this period  Judith organized 10 international conferences as well as many large media events.
Judith has been an active member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, Institute of Directors and a member of the Advisory Board of Buckinghamshire Business School and the Thames Valley University Advisory Committee on Public Relations/Communications Courses.

Judith Diment is a Rotary Advocate for Polio Eradication and has raised significant sums of money towards this cause in recent years. She noted the recent setback with the terrible murders of the polio nurses but said that our drive to eradicate polio must continue. In 2012 there was a 60% reduction in the number of cases worldwide (240 cases in Nigeria, Pakistan and Afghanistan) and she is part of a team of advocates pressing governments to continue their financial support for this cause.
