The Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation which started in 1917 with a $26.50 endownment and has to date given out more than $3 billion to humanitarian efforts worldwide. It is supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotary members and friends of the Foundation who share its vision of a better world. This support is essential to make possible projects, funded with Foundation grants, that bring sustainable improvement to communities in need and that tackle some of humanities greatest challenges:
