Each year the Rotary Youth Exchange programme sends several thousand young people, aged between 15 and 25 years of age, on the adventure of a lifetime. If you are ready for the challenge and the rewards of living in another country and experiencing another culture, then Rotary's Youth Exchange programme will enable you to discover yourself and obtain a broader view of the world and its inhabitants. The Rotary GB&I Youth Exchange website has recently been completely updated and is now clearly aimed at the target age group Click Here to visit
Rotary Youth Camps and Tours bring together young people from all over the world and are an excellent chance for them to find out about other cultures and lifestyles. Rotary Camps and Tours are available to all young people, regardless of whether they are related to a member of Rotary or not. For most Camps, the only cost to the participant is travel, insurance, pocket money and, in some cases, a registration fee - typically around £150. A Tour involving a lot of travel, or a Camp requiring specialist facilities, could cost more. In all cases, the participants do need to be "sponsored" by a Rotary Club. Sponsoring someone to go on a Youth Camp or Tour is an easy way for Rotary clubs to gain experience in the world of Rotary Youth Exchange, as the level of commitment required from the club is limited.
Details of Camps and Tours which are being organised in 2014 are now being received. Normally, invitations continue to come in until mid-April and are made available as and when they are received. Whether you are (or know of) somone who would like to spend two weeks biking and hiking in the Czech Republic, go on a basketball camp in Finland, or play tennis and go sailing in Italy (picking just three of the many available), there is probably something to interest you. In 2010 we had one young person from our district who travelled to a Himalayan Adventure Camp in India. Please follow the link below for more information:
