President Robert Irwin from Clitheroe Rotary presented Frankie Freeman from Art4All with a Corporate Paul Harris Fellowship. This is to recognise the fantastic work that Art4All has done over the past five years. It is the highest award that Rotary can give and is the only one that has been given in our District.
Art4All was formed to help adults with a disability to take part in art activities. Frankie has led the group since it started. There are 26 students, 11 carers and 15 volunteers. Not only do the volunteers help with the art sessions they raise much of the money needed for the group to operate. They also get financial support from other groups for which they are most grateful.
Our first ever Community Recognition Award was presented by President Robert toSteven Legg who has worked at Tesco Clitheroe since it opened and that is over 30 years ago. As trolley man Steven must have moved thousands each year to make sure we had one every time we shopped, come rain or shine.
Over the years he has become synonymous with Tesco’s, always there and always willing to please!
This award from the members of the Rotary club of Clitheroe honours his ethos to work and to be there for the public.
