NEW MEMBER MARY
Talks about her life and work
Mary Bishop, our latest member, was the speaker on 9 October 2018 when she gave her "Job Talk".
This is part of our vocational programme when a member recounts her life and her work. It is an opportunity for members to get to know the new member better.
Mary was born in South London before moving to Cardiff during
her teenage years. She studied modern languages in school (French, Latin and
Russian to A level). She worked in Brussels and then Paris before moving to
Nigeria with her husband. On her return to London she worked in central London
before joining the Civil Service.
We are delighted Mary has joined Croydon Rotary Club as she has so much to offer the club and Rotary.
Since retiring Mary has volunteered for Leonard Cheshire Disability. She now looks after her twin grandchildren two days a week.
As a club we need to look after Mary and ensure she enjoys her time in Rotary.
