Vocational Service is one of the Five Avenues of Service in which Rotarians use their skills to help society and make a difference in the world.

From its inception in the mid-1930s, Croydon Boys Club, later called Whitehorse Youth Centre, has been supported by a number of members of Croydon Rotary Club.

At our meeting held on 23 January 2018, Christine Lake, the longtime secretary, and her husband, were invited to join us for lunch. Many of our members who continue to support the Centre were present to witness a presentation to Christine on the occasion of her retirement.

Christine is pictured with Rotarian Edward Handley who made the presentation. This is a good example of Rotarians demonstrating Vocational Service in action.
