The Club completed another of their very successful Annual Charity Trolley Dash events on Sunday 22nd November 2015 at the ASDA Store in Barrow.
The winner, Mrs. Ye of Barrow in Furness, bought the winning ticket from Club members who were selling them in the store at the end of October.
The 2-minute dash by Mrs. Ye, accompanied by her 2 children, netted her £170 worth of goods.
The club’s Youth Services Committee member Stephen Harris said:
“The Rotary Club of Furness Peninsula would like to thank Asda and their Community Life Champion Gill Gerrish for organising the event that has become part of the club’s annual fundraising.
“Over 1000 tickets were sold, giving a profit of around £700. All profits will be used for charitable causes and events supported by Rotary.”
