Our walk starts and ends at The Cartford Inn, Cartford Lane, Preston, PR3 0YP just by the Toll Bridge close to Great Eccleston. Once out of the car park we turn right tracking the River Wyre before making back into the village of Great Eccleston and back towards the Inn. It can get a little muddy at times so walking boots are recommended with a change of footwear at the end. The Cartford Inn has an excellent reputation for fine food and ales.
