STATEMENT FROM DISTRICT GOVERNOR PETER AND THE SUPPORT TEAM
I am taking this opportunity to write to you regarding the ever-changing implication resulting from the COVID-19 outbreak. Indeed, when you are reading this, things may well have moved on again.
Preamble
Firstly, let me reassure you that the District Continuity and Operations Teams are taking this outbreak very seriously and your safety and well being and our duty of care is of paramount importance to us. An emergency ZOOM meeting of a number of the leadership team took place yesterday (Sunday), and further meetings will take place as and when required.
Our actions will now and in the future comply with National, Welsh and Local Authority Government and Health Agencies. We are supported by directives and ongoing advice from Rotary GB&I and Rotary International.
Communication at all levels is a high priority. We are however aware that Rotarians and Clubs will be receiving numerous emails etc. and we want to reduce this. As such, we have decided that the District Secretary, District Treasurer (who have specific needs relating to their posts), Maggie Hughes Public Image Lead and myself will be the conduits for communication with you. Of course, Assistant Governors will have their own local need to communicate with you, and this will continue. More...
