Getting people involved

What can we do to involve other clubs and the public?

There are so many different ways to get involved with the environment, here are some ideas:

1) Beach cleans

See if an aquarium, surf group, water sports group wants to get involved.

2) Litter pick

A lot more people are taking part in litter picks. have a read about Keep Britain Tidy. Perhaps you could host a quarterly pick or donate pickers to a school and encourage them to get involved with looking after their local area.

3) Creating sculptures from litter

Speak to a local museum, could you make a sculpture. Recently Clean Our Patch in Plymouth made a sculpture out of non reusable vapes.

4) Gardening

Speak to local schools, could they set up their own gardening club, could you do gardening in the school regularly? Do organisations, businesses or care homes need an extra hand. You never know, by gardening for a local business they may even give you a donation.

4) Recyle

Do a charity shop collection for your local area or recycling runs for those that can't get to a recycling centre easily.

What else can you come up with?
