Rotary Centres for Peace and Conflict Resolution
Rotary Centres for Peace and Conflict Resolution were set up in 2002 to train young leaders not only in conflict resolution but also in the wider understanding of peace as a value and a means of co-existence.
Rotary World Peace Fellows are graduates of the Rotary Centres for International Studies in peace and conflict resolution program. They will be a part of tomorrow's solution in promoting greater tolerance and cooperation among people worldwide. Rotary World Peace Fellows, who are chosen from a wide variety of countries, can help future leaders advance knowledge and understanding.
Rotary World Peace Fellows work toward mediation, conflict resolution, and peace where there is war. Understanding where there is disharmony, food security where there is hunger, health care where there is disease, education where there is illiteracy, conservation where there is environmental degradation, and sustainable economic development where there is poverty.
Rotary World Peace Fellows can earn either a master's degree in international relations, public administration, sustainable development, peace studies, conflict resolution, or a related field, or a professional development certificate in peace and conflict resolution.
Each year, up to 110 Rotary World Peace Fellowships (60 master's degree fellowships and 50 professional development certificate fellowships) are offered on a competitive basis at seven Rotary centres which operate in partnership with eight leading universities (centres offer master's degree unless noted otherwise).
Fellows are chosen from countries and cultures around the globe based on their ability to have a significant, positive impact on world peace and conflict resolution during their careers. Learn more about programme eligibility and deadlines.
