The school has 130 pupils from the ages of 3 – 19. Llanelli Rotary has been involved with the school since 2012 forming a very special relationship with both pupils and staff. Rotarians help with gardening, painting, Golden Oldies and youth competitions. The Club runs an annual Young Chef competition with each class competing as a team, Young Citizen and Young Photographer.
The first Rotakids Club was established in 2019. Pupils raise finds, pick litter and collect coats for the Wrap Up project.
RI Director Harriette was introduced to the members of Rotakids and presented certificates to the President, Vice President and other members. Class Teacher Laura Hunter give a presentation on the work Rotary has done with the school. This included a very emotional video taken when Llanelli Rotary gave funding for two pupils to travel to Cardiff. Neither of the pupils had spent a night away from home nor had travelled by train and the look of delight on their faces was wonderful. The Rotakids then escorted RI Director Harriette.on a tour of the school, including a visit to the Sensory Unit.
