Llanelli a Zero Waste Town!

Rotary Llanelli will be joining the Rotakids on a beach clean next month.

On June 13th the Zero Waste Alliance(a full circle project) launch took place in Llanelli. It is a project uniting local people, businesses, community groups and the public sector to help transform Llanelli into a zero waste town. The charter is a blueprint for the shared future vision and the future we want for Llanelli. Llanelli Rotary has worked in partnership with Foothold Cymru on this project and particularly the Litter out of Llanelli group.

Rotakids from Ysgol Penrhos were amongst the participants today showcasing their environmental projects. They also participated in the breakout groups which discussed various situations where waste could be avoided. The groups were mainly adults and two of the Rotakids acted as spokepersons for two of the four groups. Rotary Llanelli will be joining the Rotakids on a beach clean next month.
