May I take this opportunity to thank the Rotary Club of Carmarthen Towy for organising the District Finals. It was extremely well organised, the judges were very positive and clear in their summations. I believe everyone there thoroughly enjoyed the debates. The teams were clearly well prepared and ready for the competition. The themes were wide ranging, from modesty to social media to free speech. Each of the debates was excellently executed with its own particular individuality.
Many congratulations to “St John Lloyd’s”, Llanelli, who won the Intermediate Competition, and also to the winners of the Senior Competition, Queen Elizabeth High School, Carmarthen. We wish them the very best of luck in the Cluster Finals in Bristol on 16th March.
