World Polio Day 2024

Support for Clubs

The Boys Brigade have volunteered their help to mark World Polio Day.

Every local BB group will be receiving activity packs focusing on polio and the End Polio Now campaign from their UK organiser - and will be invited to undertake these activities in the week around World Polio Day on the 24th of October.

The BB clubs have been asked to reach out to local Rotary clubs to let them know what they are doing and to explore any possibilities of cooperation.

Please let all the clubs in your district know about this initiative - and encourage them to contact local BB groups to see what they could do - together.

There are around 700 BB clubs across the UK and the Republic of Ireland. I hope that the majority of these clubs will be active in some way during the week of World Polio Day.

It would be great if Rotary clubs could link up with BB groups - to share activities - and raise awareness of what Rotary is doing towards eliminating polio the world over.
