30th District Visually Handicapped Bowls Competition

Bowls competition rolls ahead.

This year saw first time entries from Llanelli and Ammanford, joining Cardiff, Barry, Gwent and the winning teams from West Glamorgan and Pembroke. These seven clubs fielded ten sides between them - the highest turnout for many years.

The winners of the David Morgan Cup were West Glamorgan, represented by Mark Nelson, Neil Doidge and Gilbert Miles.

Runners up were Pembroke represented by Stephen Whitmore, Madeline Roberts and Richard Parker.

Rotarians from Cardiff Rotary clubs and Newport Uskmouth Rotary club helped during the day as Markers and Scorers and our thanks go out to them and to Cardiff Bowling Club for the use of their facilities.

This event has been organised by Evan Thomas of the Rotary Club of Cardiff for many years and we thank him for his dedication and support throughout this time.
