Rotary Club of Canterbury Sunrise are working hard on putting together a Global grant which will relieve poverty and hunger in a rural area in Zambia at the same time as addressing food insecurity and wildlife/human conflicts. The Club is well on its way to raising the considerable funding needed. The next big fundraiser is a concert on 10th May 23 given by the fabulous Railway Swing Band. The Band was formed by a core group of former Royal Marine Bandsmen who came together to play music from the golden era of swing. Since then the Band has grown to a thirty strong Band of professionals and gifted amateurs who produce an amazing sound.
The concert will take place in the magnificent Great Hall, Kent College, Whitstable Road Canterbury. The venue is a few minutes from the Canterbury turn off from the A2, parking is plentiful and free including blue badge parking. Tickets at £15n plus Eventbright booking fee will give you access to a great night out and at the same time help the RC of Canterbury Sunrise towards their goal of reducing poverty and hunger in Rural Zambia
