We are volunteers working to benefit our local and international communities, but with you we can accomplish even more.
Do you want to "give something back" to your local community, but don't want to become a Rotarian? That's OK, there are many volunteering opportunities that you can undertake.
We regularly volunteer to provide service work within the local community. Maybe you'd like to volunteer too by helping at various events including:
There's always something for you to become involved in Rotary.
If you feel unable to commit to regular attendance at club meetings then this form of membership is ideal for you. Associate Membership allows you to become acquainted with a Rotary Club ( including its members, its programmes & projects, and the expectations of club membership) before becoming an active member within a designated period of time.
Associate Members are not entitled to hold any club officer position but you will be encouraged to work with club committees and become involved in service projects.
Associate Members pay subscriptions to the club, but not to Rotary International.
An organisation or company in a club’s area can become a member of the Rotary club, through an established membership approval process, and to appoint up to four designees as the individuals attending club meetings, serving on projects, voting on club matters, serving as club officers and on club committees.
Many Corporate Members will pay for their designees in relation to subscriptions. Any designees will be registered with Rotary International and will be required to pay the annual Rotary GB&I (including RI) subscription. Districts and clubs can decide to charge a fee other than the usual annual dues.
As an active member of a club, you will pay club dues and be expected to attend regular meetings and become fully engaged in giving service to communities; both locally and abroad. You will be encouraged to suggest new project ideas and will also vote on club matters. As a Rotarian, you will be ecouraged to wear a Rotary pin with pride, and will be welcome to attend any other Rotary club meeting around the world.
Alternatively you can join the District Hub, the primary focus of which is:
By joining the Hub, you will get to know multiple clubs in your area and therefore the opportunity to support a wider range of projects/events in the district.
There's always something going on in Rotary that will be of interest to you.
You may be looking to volunteer an hour or two occasionally or on a more regular but informal basis. Alternatively, you may have an idea for a community project or would like to become involved with Rotary's internatioal projects.
