Club President Trevor Morgan's Club Goals for 2026-27

Main Priorities

• To make the Club more welcoming to guests, prospective members, and newer members.
• Strengthen the Club’s social life and turn volunteering opportunities into shared social experiences.
• Members to choose committee preferences so support can be better organised.
• To continue encouraging younger people to join.

Membership

• Proposed review of membership arrangements and the process for joining.
• Introduce a clearer induction programme for new members.

Community Links

Build stronger links with other local voluntary groups and clubs, as demonstrated through the Steam Rally and support from groups such as Keep Abergavenny Tidy and the Swimming Club. 

Public Image

To encourage the Club to promote more of its work publicly.

Strengthening links between Rotary Clubs

To have more organised group visits to other Rotary clubs, involving members and partners, to share ideas, learn from others and build wider friendships.

Conclusion

 Trevor’s focus is on making the Club more welcoming, socially connected, outward-looking and flexible, while continuing to support the Steam Rally and wider community volunteering.
