The lynchpin to how we operate, and how Rotary throughout the world operates, is the 4 Way Test:

1) Is it the truth?

2) Is it fair to all comcerned?

3) Will it build goodwill and better friendships?

4) Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

On a wider basis Rotary worldwide has 7 Areas of Focus:

1) Promoting peace and conflict resolution.

2) Disease prevention and treatment.

3) Providing clean water, sanitation and hygiene.

4) Saving mothers and children.

5) Supporting education and literacy.

6) Growing local economies.

7) Protecting the environment.

All of the above sounds as though we live according to pretty lofty ideals, but in reality they are only some of the ways in which people can help others. Rotary West Wickham contributes to each of them, at varying levels, locally, nationally and internationally.
