Rotary is one of the world’s largest and most successful global membership and humanitarian service organisations, with 1.2 million members in 35,000 clubs in over 200 countries.
Supporting communities, both at home and overseas is a key part of Rotary, with thousands of members helping to support the most vulnerable people in the world.
Whether you are volunteering by helping your local community foodbank or responding to local and international disasters, there is a project or activity to suit everyone.
Being part of Rotary is more than just giving back to the community by volunteering. It is also about bringing your skills, experience and enthusiasm to help it thrive, whilst making some great friends along the way.
Some of our activities are outlined in this video
Rotary clubs are friendly places which invite speakers from a wide range of backgrounds to share their knowledge, increasing your social and cultural understanding.
Rotary has a vision:
Together we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe, in our communities and in ourselves
Available to help are Rotary Action Groups, such as the Environmental and Sustainability Rotary Action Group (ESRAG), open to Rotarians and non Rotarians alike. These action groups link like minded Rotarians across the world for interest, to illustrate opportunities and provide links with specialists in their field who might help develop an idea you are passionate about.
The Rotary network of 1.2 million people means that there will be someone within our Rotary Family with expertise to help you bring your vision to fruition, whatever your project.
If you would like to be involved then join us, help us take action and create lasting change in our seven areas of focus.
