For 2024 we are going back to the original concept for our “Walk The Wye” event. We will take walkers down the Wye Valley by bus, from Monmouth Show Ground to the start of their chosen walk. Walkers will then walk back to Monmouth Show Ground using the Wye Valley footpaths along the banks of the river.
There are 6 self guided walks to choose from with distances of between 2 miles and 15 miles. Comprehensive route instructions are provided.
Choose a walk. Invite your friends to join you, and have a great day out in the beautiful Wye valley, whilst raising money for breast cancer research.
The 2024 “Walk The Wye” event will be the sixteenth consecutive year that it has been organised, raising money for breast cancer research, and other charities supported by Rotary. (75% of the total raised will go to the Velindre Cancer Centre at Cardiff and 25% to other charitable causes supported by the Rotary clubs of Monmouth, Chepstow and Ross on Wye)
Previous “Walk The Wye” events have raised a total of £187,000
We all know somebody who has been touched by breast cancer; either directly or through a relative or friend or work colleague. Progress is being made but much more research is needed in order to find a cure for this dreadful disease. Please help us raise funds to further the research.
