We were delighted to welcome Stewart Ross as our District 1100 Community Chair to talk to us about Rotary at District and National level as regards how best to work within the Community.
After listening to a very good presentation where loneliness is prevalent in all ages, we were pleased to hear that all the good things we are doing as a Club now are in line with Rotary current concept. The Community Cinema, RWB Shed (Men’s Shed), pop up Charity Shop, Community garden, Care Home visits and the link with LEC (Wiltshire) when considered with our extensive Youth Programme are all ways of putting something back.
The Rotary Foundation Global Grant for the Swindon Radiotherapy Therapy Unit is the largest UK grant and with it the local Rotary Clubs are the largest single donors.
