Stroud Rotary is proud to announce its recent donation of essential food supplies in support of the ongoing Sri Lanka disaster appeal. In the wake of recent events that have left many Sri Lankan communities in urgent need, members of Stroud Rotary have rallied together to provide much-needed nourishment and hope.
The donation, comprising a variety of non-perishable goods and staples, reflects the club’s commitment to international humanitarian efforts and the spirit of solidarity that defines the Stroud community. Rotarian Lakshman Gallage worked collaboratively to collect, package, and arrange for the safe delivery of food, ensuring it reaches those most affected by the disaster.
Rotary Club President Richard Lacey commented, “We are deeply moved by the plight of people in Sri Lanka and are grateful for the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution. Our hope is that these supplies will offer comfort and sustenance during a difficult time.”
Stroud Rotary extends its thanks to all involved and encourages others to support disaster relief initiatives, both locally and globally. For further information or to get involved, please visit the Stroud Rotary website www.stroudrotary.org.uk
