Corporate Membership

  • Is your organisation looking to develop its corporate social responsibility policies?
  • Are you looking for leadership development opportunities for your staff?
  • Are you looking to “give back” to your community?
  • Are you looking for links with an organisation that provides more than just networking?Do you want to find out more about Rotary?

If the answers to any of these questions is “Yes!” – Read on.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Many successful businesses have found that one way of engaging with staff, customers and other stakeholders is to have a vision which goes beyond the business itself. This is sometimes referred to as Corporate Social Responsibility.

Is your organisation clear about the ways in which it is involved in helping charities or providing sponsorship? Is your organisation looking for opportunities to give time, resources or in-kind donations or making unused assets available to others? Does it give its employees a chance to get involved in these things? How does it measure its impact on society beyond the business?

The benefits of your organisation being involved

Rotary provides a useful development tool to help staff members develop leadership, project management and public speaking skills as well as a wider vision for the world.

We sponsored a $100,000 social enterprise Hope Restaurant in Sofia Bulgaria, working with the Foundation of  Social Change and Inclusion. This initiative provides young people leaving the Care System to have the opportunity to work and learn skills and get a job.

Rotary has a strong ethical foundation and good international links. There are opportunities to build networks, to learn from experienced business people, use skills for the wider good and to get involved with humanitarian projects in your local community and overseas.

How can your organisation get involved?

Stroud Rotary organises many fund-raising events. The highest profile is the Five Valley Fireworks which has raised over £250,000 for local organisations and charities.  We also sponsor a young person to attend the annual Young Rotary Leadership Award course.

If you would like your organisation to get involved please send your details to info@stroudrotary.org.uk

To get involved in all our service projects, fundraising and social events on a more regular basis, consider joining our club as a Corporate Member.

Corporate membership is one way in which an organisation can build links with Rotary for the benefit of several members of staff at the same time.

Why might your organisation be interested?

By attending our regular meetings, you can join other business leaders to take action on important issues affecting our community, our nation and the world. We also have a lot of fun – whether we are socialising or working together on service projects.

Members of our Rotary Club connect at meetings and learn from business experts and entrepreneurs, political and civic leaders and charity speakers, who help us to stay informed on topics that are relevant to our community.

As a business leader, you can enlist the expertise, experience within the club and the resources of the international Rotary network to help the causes you feel passionate about. Together we can make things happen.
