On Thursday 12th December a warm welcome awaited us at the Apperley Centre Christmas coffee morning and Christmas Flower arranging competition.
The room was decorated beautifully and on a side table a wonderful display of Christmas flower arrangements greeted us.
These were of a very high standard and Yvonne found it hard to select a winner but after much deliberation an arrangement by BEN RAYFIELD was chosen and Richard Apperley, Stonehouse Rotary member, presented the prize, an Amazon voucher and 1st prize certificate.
All entrants received a certificate stating they had been involved in the competition.
Tea, coffee and cakes were served and a group of students entertained us with Christmas songs, dancing and bell ringing.
The raffle raised approximately £1,300 at the end of a very happy and successful morning.
