On Wednesday the 13t September the club welcomed PeterSavage as our guest speaker.
Peter is employee d by the Gloucestershire Wetland Trust workings along the Stroud cannel to improve and protect the area whilst restoration work is taking place.
It was good to be told that many animals are flourishing in particular the water vole which been in decline. His current project was building a water meadow near the missing mile length of the cannel which, when any floods have receded, will form a natural habit for wildlife It is good to see the local environment is in good hands.
